  • Head to Camden Art Centre to see the first UK institutional solo show of artist and filmmaker Karimah Ashadu (@karimahashadu). The first UK institutional solo show by Karimah Ashadu, Silver Lion award-winning artist and filmmaker.

    Through moving image and sculpture, Ashadu documents labour, masculinity, patriarchy, and socio-economic structures in Nigeria — from Lagos bodybuilders to abattoir workers and horse caretakers.

  • Nigerian Modernism at Tate Modern is a landmark exhibition tracing Nigerian artistic networks before and after independence in 1960. From Zaria to London, Lagos to Munich, this show explores how artists fused Nigerian, African, and European traditions during moments of cultural resistance and reinvention. On until May 2026.
